Digital Strategy Director
As Digital Strategy Director for LaLiga, Alfredo is head of planning and strategy development across multiple digital channels and establishing the strategic approach and rationale for developing a connected digitalecosystem.
Prior to joining LaLiga, Alfredo worked at Facebook as Strategic Partnerships Manager for Spain and Portugal as well as for Ogilvy, where Alfredo was responsible for managing sponsorships activation for clients such as Ford Motor Company and Telefónica.
Alfredo’s first role in sports was at Real Madrid CF where he was Head of International Clients managing key strategic Real Madrid International Partnership agreements, including Sponsorships, and Player’s image rights.
LaLiga, is the men’s top professional football division in Spain. Since its inception, a total of 62 teams have competed in La Liga, with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athlético Madrid, Athletic Club, Valencia, and Sevilla being some of best-known competitors.
In terms of average attendances per match, LaLiga is the third highest of any professional association football league in the world, behind the Bundesliga (Germany) and the Premier League (England), and above the other two so-called “Big Five” European leagues, Serie A (Italy) and Ligue 1 (France). La Liga is also the seventh wealthiest professional sports league in the world by revenue, after the NFL, MLB, the NBA, the Premier League, the NHL, and the Bundesliga.
